BGSU Student

Debbie Freeworth is a certified professional project manager working in a global capacity specializing in change execution. Over the past five years, her primary focus has been transforming teams from the regional mindset to a shared global vision and implementing programs. Her experience is focused on directional changes and implementing sustainability programs. Debbie is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with experience in both manufacturing and office transformations. She believes in teaching organizations the skills necessary for developing internal expertise while helping them grow.

Debbie’s volunteer activities focus on helping younger adults prepare for the next step in life, including volunteering at the University of Toledo, a consulting role for DECA students, operating as a Green Belt coach, and mentoring new employees enrolled in development programs.

As a firm believer in continuous learning, Debbie is pursuing her master’s degree in Organization Development. She will utilize these skills to focus on problems in a large organization’s manufacturing improvement program that will standardize processes, implement cost-saving efforts, and consistently achieve targeted KPI’s.

Debbie’s favorite quote is from Abraham Maslow “One can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth. Growth must be chosen again and again; fear must be overcome again and again.”
