Wilma Paxton Doherty
Wilma joined OTM in 2017, having over 15 years experience in consultancy. Prior to this, she held Board level roles in the public sector in the UK and a senior advisory role in a national public health organization.
Wilma brings extensive experience of consultancy at Board level and throughout operational services, bringing method and guidance on the improvement of operational performance and strategy realignment. She has experience of leadership coaching and mentoring across complex organizational systems – in both the public and private sectors. Wilma is experienced in the use of lean systems thinking and socio technical systems theory to help her clients achieve their goals. Her key strength lies in her ability to build effective relationships of trust with key stakeholders and leaders to help them lead their organizations through the change process successfully.
She had three years’ experience of working with a large BPO provider in the public/private sector to transform the organization using lean systems thinking, where she helped create efficiencies in the region of £60m. She has led a number of transformation programs – in both the public and the public/private partnership sector including Breast Cancer Services, the Summary Justice System in Scotland and a Scottish Government-sponsored Early Years Collaborative program with a Community Health Partnership in Scotland.
Wilma holds a master’s in Public Health and Health Promotion from MMU (1998) and an MA in Business Studies. She lives in Royal Deeside in Aberdeenshire, Scotland with her family, horses and dog Archie when not working.
